We bring over 20 years of treatment experience, and our new headquarters are located in the heart of Bishop’s Stortford. Our clinic is proud to offer many years of expertise in traditional Chinese medical diagnostics, serving patients not only in the UK but also across Europe. Our approach focuses not only on treating illnesses but also on preventing them.

TCM treats the mind, body and spirit as a whole. This holistic approach comes from the fundamental beliefs of Chinese culture, which focuses on the inseparable nature of humans and the universe and the need for balance and harmony. When the life force known as Qi flows freely through the body, the mind and body are in balance. Similarly, people need to be in harmony with their surroundings, which includes adapting to changes in climate and lifestyle.

If the flow and balance of Qi are disrupted, disease can take advantage. Traditional Chinese Medicine uses a system of diagnosis, treatment and medication to promote the body’s immune system function, resist external pathogens and restore internal balance.

Dr. Tang

Dr. Tang earned his medical degree from the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine in 2000. Prior to that, he completed a university course in European medicine, giving him a well-rounded perspective on both Eastern and Western medical practices.

Dr. Teng Weiya

Professor Teng earned her medical degree from the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1998. Prior to that, she completed formal studies in European medicine, giving her a broad and integrative approach to patient care.

Chinese medicine is nearly five thousand years old.

With nearly five thousand years of history, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers a time tested approach to health and healing. Far more than just acupuncture and herbal remedies, TCM is a complete system of care focused on balance, prevention, and treating the root causes of illness, not just the symptoms.

While many in the Western world view it as complementary or alternative, in much of Asia, TCM remains the foundation of everyday healthcare.

At Acupuncture & Herbs Clinic, we follow the principles of traditional Chinese medicine to help the body return to a natural state of harmony.
